Pythagoras’ Quest is an annual math competition with the purpose of promoting students’ mathematical skills and logical thinking. These three students represented the school in the final at Danderyds Gymnasium, after having qualified by competing against over 30 schools around Stockholm. Junior School Year 4 go to Schack Fyran at Globen

On Tuesday 20th March, the students and teachers of year four set off early at 7.00 am by coach to participate in Schack Fyran in Globen. The students had a wonderful time playing chess and soaking in the amazing atmosphere of so many students gathered together to play chess. This is an annual event in Stockholm and one that IES supports and believes is both an educational and “ learning for life experience” for our year 4 students. Read more

The Friendhip poster competion was a great success in Junior school.
3 students from each year have been awarded prizes for the eye catching slogan, artwork and creativity shown in their posters.
There were so many amazing posters that there are now posters on display all around school.

Hawassa update. March 2012

Our students raised the incredible amount of 77.310 SEK for the orphanage support project in Ethiopia last summer during their "dagsverket" event. Ms. Aznar visited the orphanage recently and we were delighted to receive a video clip to show you all. We will be launching this year's fund raising project soon...
