Mr Dunnell: Assistant Principal for the senior school
An introduction from Mr Dunnell
Parents, guardians and students, it is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity to introduce myself, Mr Dunnell in my new role as Assistant Principal for the senior school of Internationella Engelska Skolan Täby.
After initially graduating from university as a microbiologist I first qualified as a teacher in 1996 following the completion of my Post Graduate Certificate of Education at the University Of Sheffield. Following this I worked successfully as a Science teacher until taking the opportunity to complete a Masters degree in ‘Special and Inclusive Education’ in 2002, also through the University of Sheffield.
I subsequently spent the next few years working predominantly with students with Special Educational needs and in the area of Student Care. I have been responsible for setting up successful Special Needs facilities in two different UK schools. For the last three years I have worked in a large school of over 1800 pupils in the UK as the member of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for Student Care and Special Educational Needs.
I have worked within the Internationella Engelska Skolan organisation since August as part of the Internationella Engelska Skolan Associate School Leader Programme and am delighted to use that experience to further enhance my previous experiences for the benefit of Internationella Engelska Skolan Täby.
I am the proud father of three young children and am delighted to have had the opportunity to move to Stockholm with my wife and young family.
I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to work alongside Ms. Ericsson at Täby Senior School and look forward to working hard to ensure that every student at the school continues to unlock their potential in the best possible environment.
Mr Mark Dunnell

An introduction from Ms Pomeroy
Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
My name is Veronna Pomeroy, and I am the new Assistant Principal for Internationella Engelska Skolan Täby’s Junior School. It is my sincere pleasure and honor to be taking on this role and becoming a member of this great school community.
I am originally from the US and am the proud mother of two children, and have had the comfort of living in Sweden for a few years now.
My educational background encompasses education and business, and includes a history of academic and cultural excellence. My educational beginnings start with a Bachelor degree in elementary education (K-6), and a Masters in Education from the University of Washington licensure program (K-12).
I have held positions of teacher, educational and staff trainer, manager and leadership consultant. Just recently, I have had the opportunity to work within Internationella Engelska Skolan as a teacher, and have been a part of pioneering the school in Nacka since August 2010.
I am truly honored and excited to be appointed to this new position within Internationella Engelska Skolan Täby, and it is my sincere desire to work alongside Ms Ericsson to provide the leadership that will facilitate a school environment in providing an academically challenging program with differentiated instruction to meet the needs of each student to excel in the best possible educational environment we have for our students.
I will work hard to ensure collaboration amongst students, parents, teachers, support staff and administration that we all have an important role to encourage our students to become active learners and rise to their individual potential.
Respectfully,
Ms Veronna Pomeroy
